One of the favourite attractions visited by those staying in Pembrokeshire cottages will soon be even better after plans for building a home for penguins were approved.
Folly Farm is visited by kids and grown ups alike for a fun day out with animals in South Wales, and now the animal family is increasing with the addition of penguins. The proposal for a £500,000 penguin pool was approved by Pembrokeshire County Council this week.
Chris Ebsworth, the managing director of Folly Farm, has said that the project has taken three years of planning and the news that the plans will now be going ahead is fantastic news. The penguin exhibit is expected to open in time for Easter, and the Folly Farm family are looking forward to welcoming the penguins after Christmas.
In the meantime, visitors to the area can enjoy all the other exhibits at Folly Farm, as well as the other attractions and beautiful scenery of the Pembrokeshire coast.
