Some of the best 'secret' beaches in Wales have been named in an article in The Guardian. The article, which can be read in full here, was written by Rob Smith, author of Secret Beaches Wales, who has picked out 10 of his favourites.
Pembrokeshire beaches were overwhelmingly his favourite choices, with 5 of his top 10 located on the Pembrokeshire coastline. All of these beaches are stunningly beautiful but relatively undiscovered, perfect for a relaxing and secluded day out.
Included in Rob Smith's list is Presipe, near Tenby, a cove created by red rocks that jut out into the sea. Porthsychan, near Fishguard, was also highly recommended, offering visitors calm waters for swimming, three beautiful waterfalls and plenty of chances to spot seals.
These are just some of the great beaches to be found in the area; why not check out a few of these hidden gems when enjoying your next self catering Pembrokeshire holiday?
