Pembrokeshire beaches continue to go unrivalled as they scoop numerous accolades at the Seaside Awards run by Keep Wales Tidy. Pembrokeshire won the most awards for its resort beaches than any other county in the country, with a massive 31 Seaside Awards presented to Pembrokeshire beaches.
The Seaside Awards are divided up into categories of resort and rural, separating the visitor-friendly beaches with numerous facilities and cafes to keep the whole family happy from the rural, which are more secluded, hidden retreats.
Among the winners are the popular holiday hotspots of Tenby North and Tenby South beaches, Whitesands and Coppet Hall. Those who regularly go on Saundersfoot family cottage holidays, will not be surprised to hear that Saundersfoot beach itself has also won an award.
The awards closely follow that of Blue Flag and Green Coast Awards in Wales, which saw an incredible 65 beaches win international coastal awards, according to this article, making them among the best in the UK.
