Tenby Castle Beach - The best beach in the UK 2019

Well, we've only gone and done it - Tenby's Castle Beach has been named the best beach in Great Britain by the Sunday Times.

Now in it's 111th year, The Sunday Times Great British Beach Guide is recognised as the definitive judge of our seaside resorts in the UK.

Chief Travel Writer at the Sunday Times, Chris Haslam inspected a staggering 422 beaches in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with Tenby’s Castle Beach taking the number one spot.

We couldn't agree more with Chris! Tenby really is a lovely town surrounded by great stretches of golden sandy beaches, perfect for sandcastle building, dog walking, picnicking or just people watching! With miles of coastal paths to walk, great pubs and restaurants, cafes and shops, Tenby really is well worth a visit at any time of the year!
