At Llys Y Fran Country Park there is a fantastic charity event which gets bigger and better each year. It is of course the dragon boat races across the reservoir, these are traditional boats with a drummer at the helm pounding out the rhythmical rowing motion to help power the boats along. It's a fun family weekend with bouncy castle, childrens magician and disco, there's a beer tent for the adults and tasty BBQ foods using fresh Pembrokeshire produce. You can bring along your own picnic and sit on the grassy banks overlooking the reservoir.

Carew Castle, is located alongside a 23 acre millpond and has experienced years of history spanning 2,000 years. Besides exploring this fantastic castle there is lots to do within the May Bank Holiday week, explore the castle picking up clues along the way, or enjoy a falconary display or a tour of the castle at twilight to see the bats - bat detectors supplied in with the cost of the tour!

Folly Farm is one of Wales top visitor attractions and is enjoyed by thousands each year. It a great place to visit rain or shine, with a zoo which holds a host of animals, you can feed the giraffes, see the penguins swimming, farm yard animals and a pets corner. If the weather isn't quite so good there is an indoor victorian fun fair which has a ghost train, carousel and high swings to name just a few. If the kids are active there are adventure play areas both indoors and out. You can pack a picnic for the day or visit many of the cafes on site for food and drink.

Tenby is also worth a visit with its pastel coloured houses lining the harbour, the tudor merchants house, Tenby museum and of course the lovely sandy beaches which provide enjoyment all year round. There are lots of places in Tenby to buy your souvenirs from and also sit and relax with a drink or a slice of well earned cake.
