Reviews

A very comfortable stay but backing on to a busy main road means a lot of traffic noise a lot of the time.

Mr H,

Loverly cottage good value for money

Mrs W,

Road noise spoilt what was a lovely cottage even though we were left earplugs . Not sure what the answer is.

Mr M,

Well equipped and comfortable

Mrs O,

On the whole the accommodation was good. and it was situated in a good position for accessing many beautiful parts of Wales. It backs onto the road that leaves the Pembroke docs which is extremely noisy throughout the day and obviously some through the night making it difficult for a person to sleep, especially if they are sleep and during the day you can only hear, traffic passing they actually had earplugs on the bedside table I’m afraid I do not go on holiday to wear earplugs as I was charging the oil industry. I can’t sleep more earplugs and ear defenders. I don’t need to do that on holiday, I guess if you’re used to sleeping, in a noisy district, not bother you in the place would be ideal

Mr P,

Nice area to use as a Base, We soon got used to the Traffic noise as on main road to Pembroke Docks. Cottage was clean and bed was comfortable with plenty of private parking. Good value for the money

Mr E,

We had a lovely week away here. A spotless cosy cottage with everything you'd need. A good base to explore the local area too. There is some traffic noise from the road but that didn't bother us at all.

Mr G,

We found the cottage very comfortable. However we were aware of the road noise, particularly when going to bed. It didn't impact on us that much as it was winter. I can imagine that it is much noisier when the windows are open.

Mrs H,

This cottage was an excellent stay, during winter months, and very solid and warm and cosy. The owner is a lovely friendly lady, who was more than happy to met and greet, and discuss any issues. The only issues I had, was that the main fire alarm is mounted way up into a high ceiling, and I was worried about what if it sounds?! Thankfully, it did not, and although there was no washing dryer together with the washing machine, everything you could want was provided and that included a fantastic log burner that was easy to use, and very warm and efficient. This cottage is next to the A477 but there was little traffic noise to concern me, and the site was private and secure. The 1/4 mile long gravel track linking the site to the main road, was a little dark at night, but no concern. All in all, a fantastic stay I recommend!! Watch out for beautiful Barn Owls!

Mr G,

We didn't realise the cottage backed onto the main road to Pembroke docks. So the road noise was annoying but we were provided with earplugs

Mr Steven C,

Location

Ivy Bush Cottages are just a few miles from the coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby. Set just off the A477, there are two cottages which can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests collectively on this site.

There is plenty of communal outside space and parking and provides an ideal base from which to enjoy the county. Shops and inns are all within a mile or two and beaches are also close at hand at Saundersfoot and Tenby.

There are many beaches to discover within Pembrokeshire, Tenby has three fabulous beaches, great to relax on -  but if you like to be a bit more energetic then there are a range of watersports to choose from.  There are lots of lovely independant shops in the town centre where you can purchase souvenirs and a few treats for yourself!

Saundersfoot is a smaller coastal village, however it has a beautiful beach too, a good selection of places to have a lite bite or a hearty meal in the evening.

Dont forget to take a look at Carew Castle and Tidal Mill which is a short car journey down the road.  There are also the Bosheston Lily Ponds which are very scenic to walk around and you may also spot an otter or two!
