Reviews

Great location, quiet, warm and cozy.

Mr M,

This is a lovely house with a large attractive garden in a wonderful location within easy walking distance of the centre of Newport. Having off street car parking for two cars is a real advantage too.

Mr H,

Newport is a fantastic place to spend a holiday. Lots of excellent eating places and interesting shops to browse. The walk to Parrog and the sea is easy and you can access Newport sands at low tide from here. The cottage is central to Newport and a good location with parking although the narrow lane to access is a little nerve wracking. The living space in the cottage is very good with effectively 3 sitting areas (including the kitchen). It would have been good to know more about the history of the cottage - lovely painted panelling in hallway. The main bedroom only has a double bed which really needs replacing. If we stayed again, we would bring our own pillows and a lightweight duvet as only 13.5 tog one supplied!

Mrs H,

Lovely spacious, comfortable property, well positioned for walking into the village, up into the Gwaen Valley or down to the beach

Mrs Marilyn M,

A lovely cottage in a lovely location. We had a great time.

Mr Brian W,

Cannot fault this rustic, but modernised cottage. Perfectly located close to the heart of Trefdraeth (Newport). Parking space right outside for three cars very appreciated. Plenty of space and toilets inside for all of us. Thought that your booking fee was steep and I felt that I received far too many e-mail prompts and marketing in the weeks and days leading up to our vacation. I would much prefer far fewer e-mails and so reduce the booking fee accordingly!

Mr Graham J,

We were not aware of the steep hill into Saundersfoot.. Not a problem for us but would have been good to know. The bush leading to the top terrace wad overhanging so difficult to get round. The thermostat for the heating wasnt working and we had to buy batteries for it to work. Also a lot of the plates and bowls were chipped

Mrs Lynda F,

On a clear day you can see Snowdon and North Wales from here, and on rare occasions it is possible to see over to Ireland and the Wicklow Mountains. For walkers the ‘Poppit Rocket’ shuttle bus runs along the coast from Newport towards Cardigan and with many stops along the way it is an ideal aid to walking sections of the all Wales Coastal Path.
