Description

The Lodge is located in the beautiful surrounds of The Heritage Park near Stepaside, South Pembrokeshire. Set amongst similar properties this tranquil location is a short walk from the coastal delight of Wisemans Bridge, perfectly ideal for a family holiday. With the coastal village of Saundersfoot about 1.5 miles with its shops, restaurant and cafes.

Kitchen/Diner/Lounge: Lounge with 2 seater and 3 seater settees, separate chair, wall mounted 65" TV. Electric flame wall mounted fire, Dining area with table and chairs, Kitchen with fridge freezer, wine cooler, washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooker and hob and microwave.Breakfast bar with two chairs. Patio doors leading out to raised decking area with table and chairs.

Pets: 2 pets welcome

Parking: Off road parking for 1 car, plus additional parking nearby in main car park.

Outdoors: Raised decking area with table and chairs.

Heating: Gas central heating

Short Breaks: Accepted but only in off/low season.

Lodge was quite comfortable with a nice tv set up. Pity Sky was not included.

Third time we stopped here, but feel this time, it’s not being properly maintained, our first morning we had no hot water or heating. We was unable to use the electric fire, believe remote needed special batteries, also TV was a nightmare until we changed the batteries in the remote, feel these things should be checked in between guests arriving

Lovely clean & well equipt spacious lodge on a quiet & well maintained site. We have stayed at Heritage Park on numerous occasions in various lodges & would highly recommend. We were blessed with amazing weather & enjoy the walk with the dogs to the beach & pub aswell as the footpaths through the woodland & iron works.

Location

Once home to both coal and iron mines, Stepaside is now a holiday hamlet with a few houses pubs and restaurants. This valley was a hive of industrial activity from the 14th to the 19th century as it was an integral part of the Pembrokeshire coal field. It’s hard to imagine that now, as very little remains apart from the old ironworks at Stepaside and the railway tunnels between Wisemans Bridge and Saundersfoot. There were 12 collieries working in this area at its heyday. The whole of Pembrokeshire beckons with the harbour and seaside resorts of Amroth just 15 minutes’ walk away, Tenby and Saundersfoot close by, visit secluded sandy beaches, such as the acclaimed Barafundle Bay for a quiet relaxing day, or take in an invigorating walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Path. Enjoy a boat trip to Caldey Island and its monastery, or to Skomer, which is renowned for its puffins. For the most adventurous, extreme watersports await, whilst golfers can take the challenge of Tenby's famous links course. The nearby town of Narberth is a delight to discover with its many individual shops, including upmarket boutiques, specialist deli grocers and unique gift shops, and a wide choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs can be found in and around the town. Queen's Hall, Narberth's leading cultural and arts venue hosts a variety of concerts, plays and events, which can be enjoyed throughout the year. A perfect holiday base at any time of year.
