Location
Vine Cottage is located in the Victorian coastal town of Tenby and within its historic town walls. Tenby has award winning beaches, a harbour where boat trips can be organised and a good supply of cafes and restaurants.
Caldey Island can be seen if you look out over the Paragon, a short distance from the property, you can take a boat trip (weather permitting) over to the island where Cistercian Monks still live today. You will also see St Catherine's Island and two lifeboat stations, only one is in operation and you can go in and take a look around in the Summer months and maybe purchase a souvenir from the RNLI shop inside.
In Tenby town there is also The Tudor Merchants House, where you can see how the Tudor Merchant and his family lived and delve in a little history.
There is a good supply of adventure and wildlife parks - Anna's Welsh Zoo, Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme park will all keep the children of all ages entertained.
If its a slower pace of life then take a stroll along part of the 186 miles of coastal footpaths, enjoying the views of the fabulous coastline and the abundant supply of wildlife.
Bosherston Lily Ponds are a good place to walk around, you may even spot the odd otter playing in the waters, these lead to a super beach - Broad Haven, where a freshly prepared picnic could be enjoyed.
Pembrokeshire is a great county to explore and it definitely has something for everyone!
