Cottages in Pembrokeshire

Our Pembrokeshire holiday cottages are in one of the most naturally stunning areas of the UK and will provide a comfortable and relaxing base from which to explore it. Whether you are looking for a cosy cottage with an open fire for a couple or a larger property with a swimming pool, which would be perfect for the whole family, you will find yourself spoilt for choice.

Towns and villages to visit in Pembrokeshire

One of the most interesting places to visit in Pembrokeshire is Tenby, a walled seaside town on the south coast. Parts of the 13th century walls remain and are a treat to see, particularly the Five Arches barbican gatehouse. Aside from visiting Tenby itself, the town provides the perfect base for exploring the rest of Pembrokeshire as our Tenby cottages are located in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and on the beautiful coast path.

We also have a great selection of neighbouring Saundersfoot cottages available if you’d like to stay in a different but equally beautiful part of Pembrokeshire. This pretty seaside coastal village is known as one of Pembrokeshire’s finest holiday resorts and has a charming atmosphere, which can be soaked up during a cottage holiday here. Filled with wonderful restaurants and independent gift shops, there’s plenty to keep all tastes occupied. What’s more, Saundersfoot boasts a Blue Flag beach, meaning that it is one of the cleanest in the world, perfect for safe bathing and relaxing on the golden sands.

Out and about in Pembrokeshire

A great way of experiencing Pembrokeshire’s beautiful coastline in a more relaxing fashion is to take one of the wildlife boat trips to Grassholm, Skomer or Skokholm, whereas adventure lovers will want to look out for two of the most popular Pembrokeshire events: Ironman Wales and the Red Bull Cliff Diving event. The county is also extremely popular for activities such as water sports and cycling, which are a must do for the more adventurous.

For days out for all the family, check our Pembrokeshire Deals & Offers, which will not only give you ideas, but will also help you to save money during your stay in Pembrokeshire. From getting up close with animals at Folly Farm, to viewing a collection of stunning plants at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, it’s easy to put together a jam-packed schedule of things to do when you’re not relaxing in your Pembrokeshire holiday cottage.

Pembrokeshire Castles

Pembrokeshire holidays would not be complete without a visit to Pembroke Castle, the famous birthplace of Henry VII. Many more castles are dotted around the Pembrokeshire area, providing plenty of inspiration for budding poets and history buffs, such as Carew Castle and Manorbier Castle. Why not read our full guide to castles in Wales for more inspiration for your Welsh heritage adventure?

This is just a taste of what’s on offer in Pembrokeshire, but it demonstrates that there is much to discover in the area; Powells Cottage Holidays offer something for everyone.
