The Big Bang Weekend!

Come down to the pretty coastal village of Saundersfoot for the ‘Big Bang’ weekend, Friday 27th October and Saturday 28th October 2017.  It’s a weekend full of fun and excitement especially for the kids.  Several of the local shops including our office will decorate their shop windows with spooky displays of ghosts and witches. Businesses hide a furry bat within these Halloween displays ready for the spooky bat trail. This is where families scour the village to try to track down all the bats hidden in the windows of these shops.

Heatherton – a World of Activity

FREE Admission – yes thought that would grab your attention! You only pay if you actually play.  This is excellent for parents who are quite happy to watch their children take part in the wonderful range of fun activities on offer.  Don’t forget to take along you dog as they are more than welcome as long as they are kept on a lead at all times, water is also provided outside the main reception.  So, it really is a fun day out for the whole family.

Travel to Tenby

A picturesque town with colourful houses lining the route down to the busy harbour.  Here you will find a mix of pleasure boats taking visitors to Caldey Island, home to the Cistercian monks and other tours around the scenic coastline. Fishing boats provide locally sourced fresh fish, which is sold on the harbour and in local eateries in Tenby and the surrounding areas.

Paws up for Pembrokeshire!

Don’t be put off bringing your dog to Pembrokeshire thinking that it will restrict your movements on your holiday.  Here is a listing of beaches, attractions, and places to eat and drink which will welcome you and your dog with open arms. Beaches: Barafundle: Voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world – it’s well worth a visit.  Dogs must be kept on a lead as there are cliffs and livestock in neighbouring fields.  Take water along too for your dog as this beach is quite a trek with no facilities.

St Dwynwen's Day - St Valentines

St Dwynwen’s Day is celebrated on 25th January – a Welsh version of St Valentine’s Day.  Dwynwen was a beautiful Welsh princess who was most unlucky in love. The story begins with Dwynwen falling in love with a prince called Maelon Dafodrill, but her father had other ideas, he wanted her to marry someone else.  Dwynwen loved Maelon and was so upset she could not marry him so she begged God to make her forget him.
