Saundersfoot Harbour to be redeveloped
Pembrokeshire has secured over £600,000 worth of funding in a bid to redevelop the iconic Saundersfoot Harbour. The funds, secured from European regional funds, are being awarded in a bid to boost tourism in the area and local jobs. The announcement came on 8th January as First Minister Carwyn Jones visited the harbour.

Organisers have revealed that the 2014 Tenby Boxing Day swim has been a massive success, with hundreds of swimmers braving the weather to take a dip. The famous Tenby Boxing Day swim has been running since 1970 and this year’s swim attracted an estimated 400 swimmers, despite the freezing temperatures and rain on the morning of the event.At 11am the hundreds of swimmers lined the shoreline at North Beach in their fancy dress outfits in front of a huge crowd before plunging into the freezing sea.

Jones is to feature in one of the episodes of BBC One programme Operation Meet The Street, where the well-known presenter is going back to her hometown of Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, Wales to make a difference in the community and attempt to put a stop to loneliness. The programme is set in five parts; in each episode James Martin invites a famous face back to the place they grew up to see if they can make a difference.
