The Tenby Museum has brought together a unique exhibition to celebrate the life and studies of a local Pembrokeshire man who helped create one of the standards for modern mathematics.

Plans were recently unveiled to turn a local Pembrokeshire country park into a Great Welsh Water Park. Dwr Cymru Welsh Water says it wants to turn Llys y Fran Country Park and the nearby reservoir into an interactive aquatic playzone. Near Haverfordwest, the attraction would include a water sports activity centre and a cycling hub as well. The company recently presented the ideas to the Pembrokeshire County Council. Those behind the plans are hoping the reservoir and surrounding land can become a key tourist destination in western Wales.

It is believed that the pod was 300-strong and was caught on camera by locals Charlie Thomas and his father Ron Thomas when they were on a fishing trip in Abercastle. Pembrokeshire is a great destination to see dolphins and other marine animals, as people on summer vacations in Tenby cottages and other coastal areas can take part in many activities and tours that involve local wildlife.

Classic car enthusiasts descended on Pembrokeshire over the weekend to take part in the 11th annual Pendine Dash.The event, which took place on Sunday 9th August, saw classic cars race 85 miles and drive through Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, whilst taking in six castles and the Museum of Speed in Pendine before finishing at the Picton Centre in Haverfordwest.

Wales and Pembrokeshire are developing an international sporting reputation for highly competitive triathlons. With Ironman Wales set for mid-September, two smaller events are being held on 1 August to get competitors and spectators excited. The inaugural Ocean Lava Wales Triathlon will have athletes swim, bike and run from Fishguard into the Pembrokeshire countryside and back. The Wales Sprint Triathlon will be run later in the day along a similar course.
